Altaf’s day begins at 4 in the morning. At 5.30, he’s at work in the kitchen of JBAS College. Cleaning, getting things organised and preparing meals for the day has been his routine here for the past thirteen years! At 8.30 AM, the girls, mostly clad in burkhas or full-sleeved salwar kameez, begin to arrive for their quick bites or elaborate breakfasts.
