If ever there was a retro heaven, Mocha Mojo would be
it. At first glance, I feel like I’ve stepped into the land of psychedelics. The restaurant has successfully bridged
the gap between functionality and aesthetics, by merging décor and art in one space. Using references from the futuristic influences of Verner Panton, the restaurant décor is an extension of
the early modernist approach towards interiors. What in the 70’s was wallpaperornament in psychedelic colours and proportions, is turned here into threedimensional space. You can lounge in the
joyful folds of colour-bands the same way they would have crawled into soft-edged furniture-landscapes of the 70’s or sat
down in a colour-composed chair of the 20’s.
